VW Stories

Untitled-1.jpg

Connie from Gig Harbor, WA began by saying, “I always love hearing other VW stories!  And, it really doesn’t matter who they are...almost everyone has one!”

Connie’s craft business, One Eyed Kitty Design, offers a variety of items for the VW enthusiast. With the fabric from Art Fabric Studio, she made pillows and tablecloths in the proper size to fit in VW buses and campers. She makes gift items, tablecloths, tea towels, pillows, stuffed toys, signs, etc. — all directed to those who are passionate about Volkswagens. You can find One Eyed Kitty Design on Etsy:  http://oneeyedkittydesign.etsy.com or on her Facebook page:  www.facebook.com/oneeyedkittyvwdesign-/35753703112909/. She added that sometimes the Facebook link doesn’t work, but you can search for oneeyedkittyvwdesign and find it (note the insertion of vw if you’re typing this in). Besides Etsy and Facebook, Connie is generally at Pacific Northwest VW events selling her crafts.

Connie and her husband are lifelong VW enthusiasts.  Both of their first cars were VWs., and they currently own 4 vintage VWs and “only wish we had the garage space for more!” One Eyed Kitty came into being to commemorate their one eyed kitty, Thurston, who lived to be 22 years old!

Connie certainly has a unique niche market, and more importantly loves what she’s doing. She has accomplished what many of us are hoping to do in retirement. Follow our passions to bring in a few extra dinaros. Congratulations, Connie.
